Abstract
The CONTACT project aims to create an integrated ecosystem of practices, processes and tools supported by ICT technologies for the integrated and patient-centred management of Medical Clinic and Clinical Trials paths. These paths organize, structure, and integrate two areas of scientific research: medical care (Care Pathway) and clinical research (Clinical Trial).
The ecosystem has the following goals:
- allow the definition, execution and monitoring of clinical paths developed by professionals of each area;
- include the detection and analysis of bio-signals of patients, therapies and diagnoses, assessments and examinations;
- realize the patient constant monitoring;
- identify new biomarkers for the early detection of the disease and the stratification of patients through the analysis of collected data.
The project is financed by “POR PUGLIA FESR 2014-2020“.

Solutions
Architecture
Clinical Integration Layer, Cyber Physical e IOT Management System, Augumented Control Room, Trial and Clinical Path Management, Big Data and Open Data are are the main components of CONTACT ecosystem architecture.
Method
The creation of an ecosystem that has the ambition to coordinate clinical research and medical therapy in a single path must face organizational, legal and standards compliance challenges.
Technologies
An important component of the CONTACT ecosystem is the Control Room where nurses and doctors collaborate to constantly follow patients. Research survey topics are: open and innovative technologies like WebRTC, engines of speech analisys and augmented reality capabilities from mobile devices.
