Angela Lombardi graduated with honors in Telecommunications Engineering at Polytechnic University of Bari in 2014.
In January 2018 she got her PhD in Signal Processing and Computational Neuroscience cum laude with a thesis on multidimensional dynamic analysis of physiological brain signals at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering of Polytechnic University of Bari.
She has worked as a post-doc researcher in Computational Neuroscience at Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare from July 2018 to December 2020 involved in nextMR and AIM experiments. From December 2020 to August 2022, she worked as Assistant Professor at the Physics Department, University of Bari. Her research was focused on novel efficient algorithms for early diagnosis and personalised staging of neurodegenerative diseases and ageing processes with advanced artificial intelligence methods in distributed computing environments.
Currently, she is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track position) at Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy. Her research interests mainly concern Complex Networks computational modelling, Big data processing and Explainable Artificial Intelligence techniques.
