Domenico Lofu

Assistant Professor

Domenico Lofù is an Assistant Professor (RTD-A) in Information Processing Systems (ING-INF/05) at the Polytechnic University of Bari.

He earned a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy. During his Ph.D., he focused on security projects, applying AI techniques.

At the same university, he achieved a Master’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering with distinction. His thesis, which had an industrial focus, delved into the application of Deep Learning techniques to Aerial Images.

His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, and Intelligent Systems for Healthcare. Previously, he served as a Security & AI Researcher at the Innovation Lab (ILAB) of Exprivia S.p.A., Italy, an Information Technology company, where he actively participated in several EU H2020 Projects.
